Indian Air force common test for admission TEST (AFCAT)

INTRODUCTION: 


The Indian Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) is a highly competitive exam that is conducted twice a year in the months of February and August. The exam is conducted by the Indian Air Force (IAF) for recruiting officers in various branches such as Flying Branch, Technical Branch, and Ground Duty Branch. The exam is open to both male and female candidates who meet the eligibility criteria.


Eligibility Criteria:

The eligibility criteria for the AFCAT exam are quite stringent, and candidates must meet all the requirements to apply for the exam. The AFCAT exam is a computer-based test with a duration of two hours. The exam consists of four sections: General Awareness, Verbal Ability in English, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test. The number of questions in each section varies every year. The General Awareness section tests the candidate’s knowledge of current affairs, history, geography, sports, science, and culture. The Verbal Ability in English section tests the candidate’s proficiency in English grammar, comprehension, and vocabulary. The Numerical Ability section tests the candidate’s knowledge of basic arithmetic, algebra, and geometry. Finally, the Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test section tests the candidate’s logical reasoning, spatial ability, and decision-making skills. There is a negative marking of 1/3 marks for each incorrect answer.
